County Animal Shelter Community Service Program 2010

Carolina Animal Hospital of Creedmoor’s GCAS – Community Service Program is restricted to animals adopted from GCAS – documentation from the shelter must be provided and is limited to the first year from the date of adoption from GCAS. The program covers only one Annual visit for adult animals and all puppy/kitten series visits. However, the program will not cover costs associated with Heartworm Prevention, Flea and Tick Prevention nor any illness or injury conditions.

Carolina Animal Hospital reserves the right to discontinue the Granville County Animal Shelter Community Service Program at any point without notice. We maintain the right to refuse services to any individual for any reason.

Surgical Sterilization: Spay / Neuter:
  • These procedures include all of our standard surgical package procedures: Examination, Pre-procedure blood panel, IV catheter and IV fluids, Sedation, General Anesthesia, Pre-procedure Narcotic Pain Relief injections, Sterile operating suite, Sterile mask, surgery gown, cap and gloves, Surgical procedure and post procedure pain relief injection and four days post procedure pain relief. (Specific details on sterilization surgeries)
  • All surgical patients must have a wellness examination and appropriate vaccines – see above – at least 2 weeks prior to the surgical procedure.
  • GCAS Community Service Program surgical procedures are performed on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month. A limited number of surgical slots will be available – These procedures must be scheduled with our office in advance.
  • We do not perform surgery on dogs in heat.
  • Additional fees may be incurred for female dogs over 50# or Pregnant. A written estimate will be provided at the wellness exam.
