Carolina Animal Hospital of Creedmoor provides preventative medical and dental care for the Granville County Sheriff Department Canine Service Dogs at no cost to the county. This care includes bi-annual physical examinations, intestinal parasite screenings, heartworm blood parasite screenings, all appropriate vaccinations and boosters as well as annual wellness blood profiles. Heartworm parasite prevention and flea and tick parasite prevention are also provided yearly. We estimate the preventatives and care services donated for these service dogs exceeds $ 1,000 for each dog annually.
These service dogs work as law enforcement Deputies with their human Deputy partners through direct protection, pursuing dangerous criminals, providing drug detection and search and rescue operations. The doctors and staff at Carolina Animal Hospital look forward to providing the essential care to these unique and very hard working dogs which serve a vital role in protecting our community.
